Reusable cup scheme

Posted 1 month ago

Save your money and waste with our reusable cup!

We are determined across our outlets to eliminate disposable single-use cups and move toward a waste-free future!

How it works

Our reusable cup scheme is very simple and easy to follow.

✅ Simply pay £5 for a Durham University coffee cup

✅ Bring to your favourite café

And that's it!

When you purchase a reusable coffee cup for the first time, you will get a free drink! If you forget your reusable cup, we'll add a 25p levy to your drink for a single-use disposable cup.

Helping you save money

If you're a regular coffee or tea drinker, there are a couple of ways you can save pennies with a reusable cup:

  • Make your cuppa at home and take it on the go
  • Durable and lasts longer, saving you money long-term

Even though these may seem small at first, you'll be amazed at how much money you can save throughout the year.

Makes your drinks last longer

We've all been there: you buy a coffee, walk to lectures, and by the time you sit down, it's already gone cold. Reusable coffee cups are designed to keep drinks hot or cold longer, unlike single-use cups, which are typically made of paper or plastic and offer little insulation.

Lasting you years

The lifespan of a reusable cup can be anywhere from 3-10 years! They're durable and reliable, and they'll last you your entire student life. While you save money long-term, you'll also help make a positive impact on the environment.

Head to the nearest outlet and purchase a reusable cup to help the environment and keep your morning caffeine rituals low-cost.
